This stunning print captures the North American AT-6D Harvard III EZ407 of the Royal Navy Historic Flight at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton in 1980. Originally serving in the Portuguese Air Force as 1656, this historic aircraft is seen here in the RNHF maintenance hangar still adorned with its Portuguese markings. After being returned to the RNHF on July 3rd, 1979, it underwent a meticulous restoration process to bring it back to flying condition.
Following its restoration, this iconic aircraft was sold at a Sothebys auction in late 1994 after spending nine years in storage at RNAS Lee-on-Solent. Now registered as N407EZ in the US and proudly flying once again in Royal Navy markings, this AT-6D Harvard III EZ407 continues to captivate aviation enthusiasts around the world.
