The TS-11 Iskra, meaning "spark" in English, is a single-engine advanced trainer and light attack aircraft produced by the Polish aircraft manufacturer, PZL-Mielec. The Iskra was designed to replace the aging PZL-11a TS-8 Bies and TS-11 Badger trainers in the Polish Air Force. With its modern design and advanced avionics, the TS-11 Iskra offered improved flight performance and training capabilities. This specific aircraft, bearing the serial number 3H1611, is seen here in the Polish Air Force colors of light blue and white. The TS-11 Iskra was powered by a single, turbocharged, piston engine, providing it with a maximum speed of around 330 km/h (205 mph) and a range of approximately 1,100 km (683 miles). The aircraft was equipped with retractable landing gear and could carry various types of weapons, making it a versatile platform for both training and light attack missions.
