Amidst the pristine winter wonderland of the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland, a group of intrepid skiers make their way back to their mountain chalet after a long and exhilarating day on the slopes. Dressed in traditional Edwardian attire, these adventurous souls braved the cold weather and harsh conditions to experience the thrill of skiing in its earliest days. The year was 1912, and skiing was still a relatively new and exclusive sport. The skis these skiers carry are a far cry from the sleek, modern equipment we know today.
