Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain
Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain (1887 - 1969), Queen of Spain as the wife of King Alfonso XIII. She was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom; and the first cousin of King George V of the United Kingdom. She married King Alfonso XIII of Spain in 1906 and had six children. The couple began to lead separate lives and eventually separated when the Royal family were forced into exile in 1931 with the proclamation of the Spanish Republic.

Their union produced six children: Alfonso, Beatriz, Infanta Cristina, Jaime, Infanta Isabel, and Alfonso, Duke of Ankara. However, as the political climate in Spain began to shift, the royal family faced increasing challenges. In 1931, the proclamation of the Spanish Republic forced the royal family into exile, and the couple's marriage became strained.
