Comb Fairy Magic Mirror Poisoned Tale Wicked

EDITORS COMMENTS
Once upon a time in a far-off land, a beautiful young woman named Snow-White lived with her wicked stepmother, the Queen. The Queen, consumed by envy and jealousy, grew increasingly determined to rid herself of her stepdaughter's radiant beauty. One fateful day, the Queen asked her magic mirror, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?" The mirror, in its truthful response, declared, "You, my queen, are the fairest in the land, but Snow-White is more beautiful than you." Infuriated, the Queen devised a plan to poison Snow-White. She ordered her huntsman to take Snow-White into the forest and kill her, but the huntsman, unable to bear the thought of taking an innocent life, instead left Snow-White in the care of seven dwarfs. The Queen, disguised as an old hag, arrived at Snow-White's cottage and offered her a poisoned apple. Snow-White, trusting the old woman, took a bite and fell into a deep sleep. The dwarfs discovered Snow-White in the forest, and they mourned her loss. But as they tended to her, Snow-White's skin began to regain its natural glow, and she awoke from her sleep. The Queen, realizing she had been outwitted, pursued Snow-White once more. In the ensuing struggle, the Queen was brought to justice, and Snow-White was reunited with her true love, the Prince. This illustration, "The Story of Snow-White," depicts the moment when the Queen, disguised as the old hag, offers Snow-White the poisoned apple. The intricate details of the fairy-tale setting, from the enchanted forest to the ornate comb in Snow-White's hair, bring the classic tale to life. The magic and wonder of this timeless story continue to captivate audiences of all ages.
