Cute animals. " Wash up" a baby Grey seal pup washed up on the beach at Weston-super-mare is not settling down at the Bristol Zoo. Wash up believed to be a female probably got blown in with the strong gales from the breeding grounds off the Pembrokeshire Coast. Wash up was taken to a dogs home for one night in the care of the R.S.P.C.A. - she was then moved to Bristol Zoo, who already have one baby seal - the two didn t get on so Wash up was moved in with the king penguins... but Wash up is not taking too kindly to all the attention they give her. EDITORS COMMENTS
This heartwarming print captures the story of a baby Grey seal pup named "Wash up" who found herself in an unexpected journey. Wash up was discovered washed ashore on the beautiful beach of Weston-super-mare, but her adventure didn't end there. Believed to be a female, it is suspected that she got carried away by strong gales from her breeding grounds off the Pembrokeshire Coast. After spending one night under the care of R. S. P. C. A at a local dogs home, Wash up found herself settling down at Bristol Zoo. However, things didn't go as planned when she couldn't get along with another baby seal already residing there. Determined to find her a suitable home, she was introduced to the king penguins. Despite their best efforts to make her feel welcome and loved, Wash up seemed hesitant about all the attention they showered upon her. This adorable photograph taken in November 1969 showcases both sadness and loneliness that this little abandoned pup experienced during this time. The image captures not only cute animals but also tells a tale of resilience and adaptation in the face of adversity. It reminds us how even amidst challenging circumstances, love and care can bring comfort to those who need it most.
