Strike a new note. Be one beat ahead. Make a two - way toga top of your own hit parade

Strike a new note. Be one beat ahead. Make a two - way toga top of your own hit parade. Two separate halves--- a sleeve and neckline, braid - trimmed, to each --combine to make the jazziest tunic dress of the season. No more blues for you. Make this toga in reversible material. You can change key to suit your mood in double quick time. For fun, wear it half in one colour, half on the reverse side. So easy to wear, so easy to make, Here is how : You will need two and a quarter yards of 54in.-wide reversible material; sixteen and a half yards of 1in.-wide braid. Make a paper pattern from diagram A (front and back) and B (sleeves). Each side of each square represents two inches. Allow for turnings. To fit up to a 38in. bust size. On double material cut A and B. Make up the two sections in the same way, using the flat-felled seaming method. 1.Stitch underarm darts on front as marked with dotted lines on diagram. Join shoulder seams. 2. Join sleeve seams. Insert sleeves. Bind front, back and lower edges with double braid, mitring all corners. Bind neck and sleeve edges with double braid. Not in the mood of the toga worn by the Romans. Our version is strictlyt 1968. Neckline, sleeves and all edges are braidtrimmed. We made our dess in reversible wool in reds, golds and browns.
