A beautiful bride is set to start married life in strife-torn Tehran
A beautiful bride is set to start married life in strife-torn Tehran.
Victoria Cottier married her Iranian boyfriend at a small County Durham church yesterday.
Within a few days she will be looking after his familys horses in Iran and a childhood dream will be fulfilled.
Victoria, of Acorn Cottage, Cornsay Colliery, has always had her own horses.
" But i ve always wanted to look after lots of them, " she said.
" Maybe i ll get my very own Arab Stallions."
Secretary Victoria, aged 21, met Behyar Assadkhan five years ago.
They were both students at Durham Technical College.
Behyar, aged 22, studied automobile engineering and he will be using these skills when he teams up with his father and helps him run the familys big garage in Tehran.
Said Victoria: " I ll have enough to do with the horses."
The couple were married at St. Hamsteels St. Johns church.
The wedding with a difference wins Victoria and Behyar a silver-plated rose bowel, courtesy of the famous Viners firm, in our wedding of the week spot.
If you know anyone whose forthcoming wedding will be out-of-the-ordinary, let us know. They could be our next winners
