Any calls for me... I m lost! The giant St Bernard takes a look at the office

Any calls for me.....I m lost!
The giant St Bernard takes a look at the office staff at The Battersea Dogs Home as if to enquire if anybody has called for him. Hes so big to get lost.
He is a rare type of dog to be found wandering the streets of London without a collar. About one year old he is an extremely fit and well bred animal. He was taken into care a few day ago after he had been seen in the streets of West London 13th January 1970

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print titled "Any calls for me. . . . . I'm lost!", we are transported back to the 1970s at The Battersea Dogs Home in London. The image captures a heartwarming moment as a giant St Bernard takes a curious look at the office staff, seemingly inquiring if anyone has called for him. This magnificent dog is so large that it's hard to imagine how he could ever get lost. The St Bernard, approximately one year old, stands out as a rare breed found wandering the streets of London without a collar. Despite his adventurous past, he appears extremely fit and well-bred. Just days ago, he was taken into the care of Battersea Dogs Home after being spotted roaming the streets of West London. This photograph not only showcases the beauty and size of this gentle giant but also highlights the important work carried out by charities like Battersea Dogs Home during that era. It serves as a reminder of their dedication towards rescuing and caring for animals in need. Captured by Freddie Reed from Memory Lane Prints, this snapshot transports us back to an era where compassion for animals and community support were valued virtues.
