In what was been hailed as the first recorded case of live sextuplets in Britain. All the babies were placed in incubators after being delivered. Twenty eight medical staff from Birmingham Maternity Hospital were present at the delivery. Three of the Thorns sextuplets survived, July, Susan & Roger, and went on to live healthy lives
