Fartown High School excelled in the National Schools Orienteering Championships at Sutton Park, Birmingham, and came home with bronze medals in the team event behind Walton and Newcastle Royal. All six members of the team scored points. The W11 class was won by Rebekah Noot, Crossley Heath, who is a member of East Pennine OC. Other Huddersfield schools taking part were Birkby Juniors, Colne Valley HS and Deighton HS.
