Advertising copywriter Vicki Morgan wanted publicity for an office chair designed by one
Advertising copywriter Vicki Morgan wanted publicity for an office chair designed by one of her clients, and Vickis brainwave was that her chairs could be found anywhere - even 40ft high over London docks. So she arranged to have one slung out on a crane just above the Pool of London with a pretty woman sitting in it - Vicki decided to do the job herself. 10th June 1968

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the vibrant streets of London in the 1960s. The image captures a moment that perfectly embodies the spirit of adventure and innovation that defined this era. Advertising copywriter Vicki Morgan, determined to generate publicity for her client's office chair design, concocted a brilliant plan. She envisioned her chairs being found anywhere, even soaring high above the bustling London docks. With unwavering confidence and an exhilarating sense of daring, Vicki arranged for one of these chairs to be suspended on a crane just above the iconic Pool of London. To add an extra touch of allure to her audacious stunt, Vicki herself took on the role of model. Sitting gracefully in the elevated chair with a radiant smile adorning her face, she became both creator and muse in this extraordinary scene. Tower Bridge stands tall in the background as if bearing witness to this bizarre yet captivating spectacle unfolding before it. The Tower of London looms nearby, adding an air of historical grandeur to this modern-day feat. This photograph not only captures a unique moment frozen in time but also serves as a testament to Vicki Morgan's ingenuity and determination. It reminds us that sometimes it takes boldness and unconventional thinking to make our dreams come true – even if it means sitting 40ft high over London docks!
