Stockton Boys Club have won their longest fight... which lasted more than 20 years
Stockton Boys Club have won their longest fight... which lasted more than 20 years. The lads have finally got their own boxing ring, thanks to the efforts of trainees from Redpath Offshore. 26th July 1991. They constructed the ring at the North Eastern Engineering Training Association in Portrack, bringing to an end the frustration of Boys Club leader Chris Bailes. " We have spent two decades borrowing and hiring. Its fantastic to have out own ring at last". Our picture shows training instructor Ron Wharton (centre) with boys club president Mike Meynall (right) and Chris Bailes
