A village without water at Ruyton-XI-Towns, Shropshire. Churns are placed outside each house and are filled with ten gallons of water twice a week from a water cart. To augment their ration of churn water villagers place baths and other receptacles under drainpipes to catch water for washing and bathing. L-R Mrs Alice Braddick, 29, holding six month old baby Malcolm, her next door neighbours Brian Morgan, 11, and Mrs Elsie Morgan, 39 and her daughter Jean Morgan. 31st August 1956
