In this print from February 1991, we are transported to St Winnow School in Lostwithiel, Cornwall. Under the guidance of talented members from Kneehigh Theatre, over 80 enthusiastic children from St Winnow and Lanlivery schools come together for a remarkable project. Their mission? To construct the awe-inspiring Grand Granite Guardian, a mythical creature designed to safeguard Helman Tor - an impressive outcrop of rocks located just a few miles away. This extraordinary event was part of the county's education department initiative called Myths and Legends. The young minds involved poured their creativity into building this magnificent guardian, which stands tall against the backdrop of charming school buildings.
