Broadclub cuttlefish
Broadclub cuttlefish (Sepia latimanus). This cuttlefish is found in the tropical Indo-Pacific region. It is able to rapidly change the colour of its skin by dilating or contracting pigment cells called chromatophores. It preys on crustacean, which it catches with a quick strike of its two tentacles, which are usually kept hidden among its eight arms (as here). It can grow to lengths of 45 centimetres. Photographed in Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia
