Humanoid robot skull
Humanoid robot skull. This plastic skull will be used as a base for a robot Albert Einstein head. The robot, created by US robot designer David Hanson, will be covered with a spongy polymer called Frubber, which is light and flexible enough to be controlled by small servo motors within the robot head. The Einstein robot will also contain motion detecting and speech recognition sensors that send signals to an external computer running artificial intelligence software. The computer reacts by controlling 33 servo motors within the robot head which produce life-like facial expressions. Photographed in 2007
