Kinetographe projector. 19th-century artwork of an early type of movie projector using kinetographe technology. Examples of this included Edisons Kinetoscope. This version is by French cinema pioneer George William de Bedts and dates from 1896. It was used for both projection and as a movie camera to record films on negatives. De Bedts was active in Paris in the 1890s, and also had representatives and a shop in London.
