The Kramer Junction site, seen here, is where five of these power plants are located. It receives around 340 days of sunshine per year, making it an ideal location for solar power generation. The parabolic mirrors track the Sun (upper centre) across the sky and focus the Suns rays onto tubes containing a synthetic oil. The oil becomes super-heated and is used to boil water for steam turbine generators
