Easingwold Railway was an independent standard gauge railway that operated between Easingwold and Alane, covering a distance of 2.5 miles. Its rich history dates back to 1891 when it first commenced operations, connecting these two charming towns and facilitating transportation for both passengers and goods. However, as with many railways during this era, passenger services ceased in 1948 due to changing times and advancements in other modes of transportation. Sadly, the line eventually closed its doors forever in December 1957.
