Mersey Gateway Bridge 33146_037

Construction for the Mersey Gateway Bridge, Halton, Cheshire. This toll bridge crosses the Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal from Runcorn to Widnes. Photographed while it was still under construction in June 2017. It opened to traffic four months later. It was officially opened by the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex in June 2018

Upper Geyser Basin Yellowstone National Park

The Upper Geyser Basin is home to the largest numbers of this fragile feature found in the park. Within one square mile there are at least 150 of these hydrothermal wonders. Of this remarkable number, only five major geysers are predicted regularly by the naturalist staff. They are Castle, Grand, Daisy, Riverside, and Old Faithful
