Hamlet Collection

Hamlet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare, first performed in 1601. It tells the story of Prince Hamlet of Denmark, who is visited by the ghost of his father, King Hamlet. The ghost tells him that he was murdered by his own brother Claudius and urges him to seek revenge. Hamlet struggles with his own morality and sanity as he attempts to take action against Claudius. He ultimately decides to feign madness in order to gain time for himself and plan a course of action. In the end, many characters are killed as a result of his actions, including himself. The play is widely considered one of Shakespeare's greatest works and has been adapted into film numerous times over the years.
