Gardneri is a species of didelphidae mammals, commonly known as opossums, and are native to South America and can be found in parts of Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina and can small marsupials with a body length of about 7-9 inches and a weight of around 1-2 pounds. They have grayish fur with white patches on their faces and tails that help them blend into their environment. Gardneri feed mainly on insects, fruits, small vertebrates such as frogs or lizards, carrion, bird eggs and nestlings.
