Irma Collection

Irma is a genus of macropodidae mammals, commonly known as wallabies, and are native to Australia and New Guinea, and are closely related to kangaroos. Wallabies have short fur that is usually grey or brown in color with white markings on their faces, bellies, and tails. They have powerful hind legs which they use for jumping long distances. Wallabies can reach speeds of up to 30 mph when running away from predators or chasing prey. They feed mainly on grasses but also eat leaves, flowers, fruits and insects. Wallabies live in groups called mobs which can range from 2-20 individuals depending on the species. The female wallaby gives birth to one joey at a time after a gestation period of about 30 days. The joey stays in the mother's pouch for several months before emerging into the world fully developed and ready to start life as an independent wallaby.
