Radix Collection

Radix is a genus of muridae mammals, commonly known as the root rats, and are found in parts of Southeast Asia and Indonesia, including Borneo, Sumatra, and Java and can small rodents with short tails and large ears. They have grayish-brown fur on their backs and white fur on their bellies. Their diet consists mainly of roots, tubers, fruits, seeds, insects and other small animals and can solitary animals that live in burrows or rock crevices during the day and come out at night to forage for food and can be found in a variety of habitats from lowland forests to high mountain areas up to 3200 meters above sea level. Radix play an important role in seed dispersal by carrying seeds from one place to another as they move around looking for food.
