Frederick Duncan Collection

Frederick Duncan is an artist, curator, and arts educator based in Washington, DC. He has been a professional artist for over 30 years and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally. His artwork is inspired by the African diaspora, exploring themes of identity and culture through painting, sculpture, photography, installation art, video art, and performance art. He has curated exhibitions at the Smithsonian Institution's Anacostia Community Museum as well as other galleries in the DC area. As an arts educator he has taught classes at American University's Corcoran School of Art & Design as well as workshops for youth in underserved communities throughout DC. His mission is to create meaningful connections between people through visual storytelling that speaks to our shared humanity.
