The Monreale Cathedral, Norman Arabic architecture, founded in 1174 by King William II. It includes also Benedictine monastery, two stone towers and a carved porch. In the interior there is a cloister with a garden with 228 white marble columns with capitals telling eposodes from the bible. In the arches of the central nave there are monumental and complex golden mosaics that tell episodes of the ancient testament.
