This print from Historic England showcases the iconic Brands Hatch racing circuit in Swanley, Kent. Taken in November 1955, five years after the introduction of the first tarmac surface, it provides a glimpse into the early days of this renowned motorsport venue. In the foreground of the image, we see Druids corner with Paddock Hill to its right. These corners have witnessed countless thrilling moments and heart-stopping maneuvers throughout their history. To add to the excitement, we can also spot the newly installed Grandstand on the pit straight.
