Scotty, the dog belonging to Captain Robert Falcon Scott, who went to the South Pole with Scott in 1912 and went with the relief party to find his late masters body. He was then presented to the 3rd Battalion, City of London Regiment by Captain F. Keith Jones as a regimental mascot. According to the caption, Scotty was very fierce and the demise of three donkeys was down to him. Date: 1915
