Step back in time with this evocative photograph of the Rose & Crown Public House in Thorney, Cambridgeshire. Captured in the 1960s, this image offers a glimpse into the past of this charming local pub. The left face of the building is shown here, with its distinctive whitewashed walls, red-painted doors, and ornate signage bearing the Rose and Crown insignia. The pub, which is located at PE6 0SB, was individually owned as of July 2018, but this photograph was taken over five decades earlier, in 1962. The Rose & Crown was a beloved establishment in the community, providing refreshments and a warm welcome to locals and travelers alike. Though the pub reportedly closed by July 2018, this photograph stands as a testament to its rich history and the role it played in the social fabric of Thorney.
