The Indian Scimitar Babbler, also known as the Long-billed Babbler, is native to the Indian subcontinent and is easily recognizable by its distinctive curved, long, and fan-like bill. The bird is perched on a branch, displaying its striking plumage and anatomical features. Its belly is adorned with a mix of brown and black feathers, while its head and upperparts are a rich chestnut color. The bird's piercing, yellow eyes add to its captivating appearance. The Indian Scimitar Babbler is a member of the family Pomatorhidae, which also includes the Asian and African scimitar-bills.
