The winner was Crosland Hill Cub Paul Trueman, with Longwood Luke Moghaddam second and Crosland Hill Neil Burling third. In this nostalgic print from the Huddersfield Examiner Archive, we are transported back to the 1990s when nine Cub packs eagerly participated in the annual Huddersfield South-West district chess competition. The event took place at Marsden Scout group headquarters, nestled within the village United Reformed Church.
