Amongst the coveted memorabilia, Elton's iconic Doc Martin boots took center stage as they were paraded out of the auction room, fetching an astonishing record-breaking price of £11,000. What makes this image even more extraordinary is that these legendary boots were held proudly by their very creator. Standing at an impressive 4 feet and 6½ inches tall, these fibreglass lace-ups adorned with platform shoes and metal callipers symbolize both fashion and musical prowess. They hold a special place in Elton's career as he wore them during his unforgettable portrayal of the Pinball Wizard in the rock opera Tommy. Determined to secure this remarkable piece of history, Stephen was willing to bid up to £15,000 for the boots that once graced Elton John's feet. In this snapshot frozen in time on September 6th, 1988, we witness Stephen beaming with pride as he clutches his newly acquired treasure worth £11,000.
