Great photo capture of the legendary Chelsea Football Club squad from the 1963-64 Soccer-Football League Division One season. This historic image features an impressive lineup of talented players and their charismatic manager, Tommy Docherty, who led the team to a successful campaign. In the back row, we see Derek Kevan, Bobby Tambling, Bert Murray, Peter Bonetti, Errol McNally, Frank Upton, Graham Moore, Dennis Sorrell, and Ken Shellito. Bobby Tambling, a prolific striker, was a key figure in the team, scoring 22 goals that season. Goalkeeper Peter Bonetti, known as "Bonnie" was a stalwart in the Chelsea defense and made a remarkable 429 appearances for the club. Moving to the front row, we find Jim Mulholland, Tommy Harmer, an unidentified player, Alan Harris, Eddie McCreadie, Ron Harris, and Terry Venables. Ron Harris, a versatile player, made over 600 appearances for Chelsea and was a crucial part of the team's success during the 1960s. Terry Venables, a future manager of the English national team, started his professional career with Chelsea in 1962. The team's manager, Tommy Docherty, is shown in the center, surrounded by his players. Docherty, an influential figure in English football, managed Chelsea from 1961 to 1967, leading the team to two FA Cup victories and a Second Division championship.
