In the gritty streets of Middlesbrough during the 1970s, a notorious gang known as the Ulla Street Boot Boys ruled with an iron fist. Their presence sent shivers down the spines of locals, their reputation preceding them wherever they went. Meanwhile, in August 1964, a different kind of gang gathered in Hastings on their scooters. The Mods, dressed impeccably in their tailored suits and riding Vespa or Lambretta scooters, exuded style and rebellion. They were a symbol of youth culture and music that swept across Britain during that era. Across the English Channel, Paris faced its own plague - L'Apache. This infamous gang struck fear into the hearts of Parisians through acts of violence and criminal activities. A vivid colour lithograph captured this dark chapter in French history. Turning our attention to America's underworld legends, Al Capone stands out as one of the most notorious American gangsters. In a gripping image from his heyday, Capone is seen being questioned by police officers who sought to bring him down for his involvement in organized crime. Crime and they have always been intertwined throughout history - two sides of a dangerous coin. From street gangs to organized crime syndicates, these groups operate outside societal norms while leaving behind trails of destruction and despair. The press often plays an essential role in exposing these criminal networks - shining light on their illicit activities for all to see. With relentless determination, journalists become part of society's resistance against these nefarious forces. While humans form gangs for various reasons, animals also exhibit similar social behaviors within their species. Juvenile Masai Giraffes roam together under watchful eyes at Masai Mara Game Reserve while Northern Raccoons huddle on branches seeking safety in numbers. Even meerkats display remarkable cooperation within their group as they stand alertly guarding against potential threats amidst Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park's vast landscapes.
