The image, produced around the time of the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902, presents a regal and historic tableau. The first Edward, Edward the Confessor, is depicted in the top left corner, clad in his traditional robes and holding a model of Westminster Abbey, the site of his coronation and burial. Moving down the left side, we encounter Edward II, with a stern expression and wearing a fur-trimmed robe. Edward III, the third Edward, is portrayed in armor, reflecting his military prowess. Edward IV, the fifth Edward, is depicted in the bottom left corner, wearing a simple robe and holding a scepter and orb. On the right side, we find Edward V, the short-lived king, who is shown with a solemn expression and wearing a crown. Edward VI, the sixth Edward, is shown as a young boy, wearing a fur-trimmed robe and holding a book, symbolizing his education and learning. Finally, King Edward VII, the seventh Edward, is depicted in the center, wearing the Imperial State Crown and holding the scepter and orb.
