The sash, made of heavy woven cotton material, boasts the symbolic colors of purple, white, and green against a pristine white background with a border edging of dark green. The sash measures 55cm long and 10cm wide on each side, with a hook fastening for easy wearing. The W.S.P.U. sash, adorned with dark green lettering, was first publicly displayed at the Women's Sunday Demonstration on June 21, 1908. This sash is a testament to the unwavering determination and courage of the suffragettes who fought for women's right to vote.
