Photo was taken to accompany an article about Father Devaney rounding up help in a local working mans club. It cost him 6 pints, but he managed to get help from 6 men to lift the new marble top for the alter into place. The new alter was part of an extension to fit 100 more poeple in the chruch. 6th April 1981
