EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, Miss Examiner Maureen Wigton has rallied a pack of enthusiastic cub scouts to join her in raising funds for the Stop Press Guide Dog Appeal. The Crosland Moor cubs will be lending their helping hands as they embark on a shoe cleaning morning in Huddersfield town centre. With their sleeves rolled up and determination shining through their eyes, these young boys are ready to put on a shine like no other. Miss Examiner and her dedicated shoeshine boys are determined to help Stop Press polish off more cash towards reaching their ambitious £1,000 target. On Saturday, November 3rd, from 10am to noon, they will set up their shoe cleaning bonanza right in the heart of King Street. Their mission is simple yet impactful: asking kind-hearted Saturday morning shoppers for contributions towards the appeal in exchange for having their shoes expertly shined. This nostalgic snapshot captures the essence of community spirit and charitable endeavors that were prevalent during the 1990s. It serves as a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference when united under one cause.
