Poster produced for British Railways (BR) to promote an open day at Brighton Station on 16 July 1983, commemorating 50 years of electrification on the London to Brighton Line (1933-1983). In the 1930s, the Southern Railway Company electrified most of its outer suburban railways and several main lines to and along the South Coast.
