Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, USA; (add.info.: Bought in 1695 by Louis XIV for the Dauphin and expanded by him, the Chateau Neuf between Paris and Versailles was looted in the French Revolution and demolished in 1803. The pink marble columns went to decorate the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel in front of the Tuileries, and the stone columns to the Palais du Luxembourg.
