EDITORS COMMENTS
In this iconic photograph taken at Old Trafford on February 15,2003, Edu of Arsenal Football Club is seen celebrating with his teammates after scoring the second goal against Manchester United during the F. A. Cup 5th Round match. The Brazilian midfielder, who joined Arsenal in 2001, had a significant impact on the team's success during his time at the Emirates. Edu's goal came in the 54th minute, doubling Arsenal's lead after Robert Pires had opened the scoring in the first half. The goal was a testament to Edu's technical ability and composure in front of goal, as he calmly finished off a move started from the back. As Edu celebrates, Wes Brown of Manchester United looks on in disappointment. Brown, a defender for the Red Devils, had a difficult time containing Arsenal's attacking prowess throughout the match. The result was a convincing 2-0 victory for Arsenal, which saw them progress to the next round of the F. A. Cup. This photograph captures the intensity and passion of a classic football rivalry between two of the most successful clubs in English football history. Edu's goal was a turning point in the match, and his celebration with his teammates encapsulates the joy and excitement of scoring against a bitter rival. The image also serves as a reminder of the legendary status of Edu and other Arsenal greats who have graced the pitch at Old Trafford over the years.
