EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moment captured in this stunning photograph as Everton's Kevin Mirallas (centre) scores the Toffees' first goal against West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park during the 2016-17 Premier League season. The Belgian international's goal came in the 37th minute, with the scoreline still evenly balanced at 0-0. Mirallas received the ball from the impressive Ross Barkley on the edge of the area, took a few touches to create some space, and then unleashed a powerful left-footed shot into the bottom corner of the net, leaving West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster with no chance. The goal was a crucial one for Everton, as it gave them the momentum they needed to go on and secure a 2-0 victory. Mirallas' goal was also a significant one for him personally, as it was his first league goal of the campaign. The photograph, taken by renowned sports photographer Martin Rickett, perfectly captures the excitement and intensity of a Premier League match at Goodison Park. The crowd can be seen celebrating in the background, reflecting the passion and commitment of the Everton faithful. This is a truly iconic image from an unforgettable moment in Everton's history.
