In this evocative photograph, taken off the coast of Cornwall, near Newlyn harbour in January 1980, a team of rescuers work tirelessly to raise the Bounteous fishing trawler from the depths of the churning sea. Airbags, inflated and tethered to the trawler, are being pumped full of air to lift the vessel back to the surface.
