A Peek Behind the Curtains: An 1880s Theatre Encounter In the heart of Victorian London, the allure of the theatre was a magnetic draw for the curious and the captivated. Among the enchanted audience members was this charming gentleman, dressed in a tall top hat, a tailored coat, and carrying a cane. His eyes, however, were not fixed on the stage, but rather on the captivating showgirls who graced the backstage.
