This stunning photograph captures the historic moment of the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on the 12th of May, 1937. The image features inset views of significant landmarks in London that were part of the grand coronation procession. At the heart of the scene is Buckingham Palace, the official London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarchy. Adorned with the Union Jack and the Royal Standard, the palace stands proudly as a symbol of the British monarchy. To the left of the palace, the Horse Guards, a ceremonial cavalry regiment, are seen lining up in formation. Their red tunics and bearskin hats add a vibrant touch to the otherwise monochrome image.
