This evocative photograph captures the exterior of the Sardinian Chapel of Lincoln's Inn, London, as it stood in 1906, just before its demolition. The chapel, a historic landmark of Roman Catholic faith in the heart of the city, was sadly lost to make way for the new Kingsway thoroughfare. Built in the late 17th century, the Sardinian Chapel was a cherished part of the Lincoln's Inn community, with a rich history and strong connections to the Italian diaspora in London.
