The intricate detail in this image, taken from James Sowerby's The British Miscellany, or Coloured Figures of New, Rare, or Little Known Animal Subjects (1804), captures the unique beauty of this waterfowl species. The Greater Scaup is a medium-sized duck, with a distinctive black and white plumage pattern.
