VISUAL DESCRIPTION
This is a vintage poster for the Second International Aero and Motor Boat Exhibition, which took place from March 11th to March 19th, 1910. The event was held at Olympia, presumably in London given the reference to "H. M. The King" as patron. It was organized by The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd. , supported by the Aero Club. The exhibition featured displays related to aviation and boating technology of that era, including aeroplanes (airplanes), aero engines, aero accessories, motor boats, hydroplanes (early seaplanes or boats designed to skim over water), marine engines, and marine equipment. The poster indicates that the exhibition was open daily from 10 AM until 10 PM with an admission fee of one shilling; however, on Wednesdays afternoons entry cost two shillings sixpence before five o'clock. There were also cinematograph displays of historic flights every evening except Sundays at this event. At the top center of the poster is an emblem featuring intertwined letters that could represent either an organization's logo or possibly a monogram associated with royalty ("H. M. " standing for His Majesty).
