Built in 1943-1944 by engineers Erik Bratt, Karl-Erik Hilfing and Bjorn Tornblom, the Beauty was first flown on 4 December 1944, registered SE-ANX. In the summer of 1950 it was sold to Norwegian SAS captain Jan Christie, living in Stockholm and re-registered LN-JHC. Christie participated in the Daily Express South Coast Race on 16 September 1950, placing 43rd out of 46

Background: The Skandinaviska Aero BHT-1 Beauty was built in Sweden between 1943 and 1944 by the brilliant minds of Erik Bratt, Karl-Erik Hilfing, and Bjorn Tornblom. The aircraft made its first flight on December 4, 1944, under the Swedish registration SE-ANX. 4. New Ownership: In the summer of 1950, the Beauty was sold to Norwegian SAS captain Jan Christie, who resided in Stockholm. Christie proudly re-registered the aircraft as LN-JHC. 5.
